CARRIE: These cute shirts are from cute monstR out of Hamburg, Germany. Theses monsters don't seem too ferocious.

CARRIE: I'm loving these crazy guys from cottonmonster.com I want a whole family of them. The best thing: they're made of recylcled clothing and linens. Plus, every one is unique.

i heart guts

CARRIE: While we're on the subject of hearts and taking a more anatomical look at them...here are some cute hearts and other parts from I Heart Guts. The website offers numerous plush organs, tee-shirts featuring illustrated lungs, spleens, etc. and other bodily novelties. They describe the little guys as "...what you might find inside a dissected Hello Kitty." Pretty random, but funny.

CARRIE: fun and fitting poster from Yee-haw Industries. Condi, the singing gerbil, is not to be missed.

CARRIE: I've had these goofy little cartoons saved on my computer forever. I don't have any idea where I got them, I apologize. I just get a kick of the little eyes peeking out.

witty designs

MORGAN: While Carrie and I studied design in England, one of our textbooks was, A Smile in the Mind: Witty Thinking in Graphic Design (Phaidon). This weeks posts have reminded me that this book taught us that "seeing humour as the shortest distance between two people" makes the case for using wit in design to capture the attention of your audience and make them not only notice, but remember. I thought the two products above were a great example of how to translate that wit into product design!
