CARRIE: If you're feeling ultra-crafty and want to go crazy on gingerbread houses, here is some great inspiration from apartment therapy.

CARRIE: I've been thinking about making some homemade gifts for neighbors and thought it would be fun to round up some inspiration here. The images above are all from Martha Stewart.

CARRIE: I have to say that one of my favorite things about fall is the food. The flavors of apples and pumpkin and cinnamon and earthly vegetables get me excited to get into the kitchen. A place I love looking for kitchen inspiration is smittenkitchen.com. The recipes are great and the descriptions and photos make just browsing the site enjoyable, too. Also, she has a helpful list of recipes divided by season to get you in the autumn cooking mood. Recipe photos from smittenkitchen posted above (top to bottom): simplest apple tart, brussel sprouts and chestnuts in brown butter, apple pancakes and pumpkin waffles.
CARRIE: "Eli, no!" is a fun little children's book about a dog, Eli, and his trouble-making ways! Here, he lies on the floor surrounded by all of the food (trash?) he has consumed. At least Eli is making some healthy choices by consuming lots of fruits! Good dog, Eli! The book was designed and illustrated by Katie Kirk & Nathan Strandberg of Eighthourday.

CARRIE: if we're going to talk about fruity artwork this week, we can't go without mentioning one of our favorites: Orla Kiely! so much to love about these apples & pears!

MORGAN: I just couldn't help it – aren't these hilarious? MR Tea! I love it! These are from a cute little website called teeandtoast.com! They've also got some fun tees like the one below!
