Matt W. Moore does Paris

MORGAN: "An ambitious creative spirit, MWM (Matt W. Moore) has traveled to Paris for one month to prepare, from scratch, for his first Paris Solo-Exhibition. He arrived with no art, no supplies, and no firm plan for this new series of canvas paintings. The ideas for the artworks have actualized while processing time spent absorbing French Culture, exploring the City Of Lights, the vibrant colors, the exaggerated geometry, and the diverse architecture and fashion of Paris." - mwmgraphics.com {via designworklife.com)

David Starck Holiday at West Elm

MORGAN: I'm loving this eco-modern look for the holidays! It's a great new collection at West Elm by David Starck that mixes naturals with metallics and uses an array of recycled and repurposed materials. A great option for those of you that don't want your entire house tuurned into a red and green wonderland!

circle the date

MORGAN: What a unique gift idea!  Chakra Pennywhistle's "circle the date pillow": "Patches cut from a vintage tea towel and sewn onto a soft, natural pillow. Perfect for remembering your very special day. Vintage with a modern twist, perfect for wedding dates, birthdays, and unique announcements." pure love!

MORGAN: Did someone say road trip? The folks of Random Collective designed this awesome website chronicling New York based singer-songwriter Orba Squara’s journey across some of the United States to commemorate his second album. Check out Orba Squara's website to see a the rest of the amazing photos, graphics, and type treatments documenting the trip! {thanks to Grain Edit for the introduction}

Lego maniac

CARRIE: Clothing brand, Band of Outsiders, did a cool shop environment to celebrate 30 years of Lego. They designed a line of clothing specifically for it and gave models life-sized Lego heads.

angela adams

MORGAN: All of Angela Adams rug designs are inspired by nature, but this grouping is specifically water-inspired! The Ocean rug, the Spike rug in Pool coloring and the fine art print, "Sea Fantasy" can all be purhased directly from her website: www.angelaadams.com.

Feeling beachy

CARRIE: This is a photo that I pulled from flickr ages ago and I came across it again this morning. I can't stop thinking about being at the beach on this dreary Monday after we had a blizzard, basically, in Kansas City. Plus, the lettering in this sign makes me so happy!

christian robert-tissot

CARRIE: This is the work of artist, Christian Robert-Tissot. He creates installations that form a relationship between language and the environment he puts it in. This one, in particular, reminded me of Morgan's post from yesterday. Even with nothing to say, you can make a bold statement.

MORGAN: ... just loving the irony of a sign with no message!
