i heart guts

CARRIE: While we're on the subject of hearts and taking a more anatomical look at them...here are some cute hearts and other parts from I Heart Guts. The website offers numerous plush organs, tee-shirts featuring illustrated lungs, spleens, etc. and other bodily novelties. They describe the little guys as "...what you might find inside a dissected Hello Kitty." Pretty random, but funny.

gotta have heart

MORGAN: Love is in the air! It's summer and I'm feeling like we are officially in the midst of wedding season. My husband, Dan, just surprised me and ordered this cool "Gotta Have Heart" poster from Ork Posters --somehow, it just seems appropriate!

MORGAN: I just played with the idea of designing some men's clothes: a casual plaid shirt with pocket, board shorts with plaid piping, and a "water gun" graphic for a tee!

CARRIE: Some patterns inspired by menswear with a little punch of color.

modern amusement

MORGAN: Modern Amusement disproves the thought that men's clothes have to be boring! They continually come out with fresh color palettes, new materials, and trend-forward patterns and graphics for men! I just love seeing the more fun, not-at-all-stuffy side of men's fashion.

Lego maniac

CARRIE: Clothing brand, Band of Outsiders, did a cool shop environment to celebrate 30 years of Lego. They designed a line of clothing specifically for it and gave models life-sized Lego heads.

menswear: the sartorialist

MORGAN: When I think of menswear, I immediately think of my favorite fashion blog: the sartorialist! There is no other blog (or other influence, for that matter) that has used the fashion choices of everyday people off the street to make such a large impact in the greater world of fashion than the sartorialist! His keen eye and amazing photographic sense is unmatched! Love the mix of color and pattern in the above shot!
