MORGAN: the gestural, very obvious hand of the artist strokes in these paintings is so refreshing! All of the above images from a project called "100 girls on cheap paper (in new york)" by Tina Berning.

CARRIE: Something about the vibrant color, the collage style, and the lady as subject matter made me think of Australian illustrator, Kat Macleod. I could look at her work all day!
MORGAN: This collage-like photo makes we want to permanently live in a dream state! Such fun, playful art by Tomi and Cherry!
MORGAN: ahh such torture! I would LOVE to have this hanging somewhere (anywhere!) in my house! Carrie's post from yesterday made me think about stripes playing a role in fine art and that's when I recalled Jason Rohlf's amazing work (thanks to Megan for introducing me to his awesome paintings)! {currently showing in Chicago at the Judy A Saslow Gallery and many more works to be seen here }

CARRIE: Some drippy stripes from American Abstract Expressionist painter, Morris Louis ( 1912-1962).

MORGAN: All designed with Jackie Shapiro's signature style, The French Bull tableware, kitchenware, and bedding constantly reinvents what it means to be a stripe!

CARRIE: I thought it might be fun to play around with stripes. These beauties are from Jeff Perrone via dear ada.
